Position Summary:

Inspire Medical Systems is looking for an Algorithm Engineering Intern for the summer of 2023.

The selected interns will work with our Algorithm Development Team to support various initiatives and projects, while gaining first-hand experience with cutting edge medical device technology.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Algorithm Development Support

  • Create and validate tools to assist in the development of physiologic signal processing algorithms
  • Analyze physiologic data
  • Work closely with other engineers to develop and implement new algorithms
  • Author summary reports on investigation(s) performed

Product Development Support

  • Assist with development efforts as required, under the direction of an Engineer
  • Product testing
  • Software testing/validation testing
  • Dry run test methods/test plans
  • Product Research

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years undergraduate schooling (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Signal processing (such as digital filtering of signals)
  • Programming in Python and/or C/C++
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand complex system

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or graduate research experience
  • 0-2 years (or equivalent) towards a master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with Matlab
  • Experience with frequency domain signal analysis
