Job Description

Senior Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer/Analyst

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Performs business analysis, design, development, and testing for new implementations, upgrades and enhancements to Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Identifies opportunities for business process and system improvements/optimization
  • Resolves application and technical programming issues
  • Prepares technical specifications, test plans/scripts, and documentation of application designs and workflows
  • Maintains application documentation
    Designs and develops integrations with Microsoft Dynamics AX and other systems
  • Understands and uses best practices in project management


Requirements:

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the US
  • 5+ years' software/applications analysis and development experience
  • 3+ years’ using the Microsoft technology stack – particularly Windows Server, SharePoint and SQL preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience with one or more of following development platforms C#, .NET and X++. ASP.NET a plus
  • 3+ years' experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is required
  • Good functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (Finance and/or Trade & Logistics)
  • Experience in the analysis, design, and development of reports (SSRS) and cubes (SSAS) within the Microsoft technology stack is preferred
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and RDBMS concepts
  • Good understanding of Middleware solutions and exposure to integrated ERP environments
  • Solid understanding of SDLC processes and IT best practices
  • Good documentation skills, design specs, test scripts and training documents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, within a team or leading a team
  • Microsoft certifications required
