Position Details:

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, you will be an integral part of E&R's finance team and to complete the closing process of the monthly financial statements.

You Will:

Completion of financial closing process and schedules

Complete monthly business closing process to support business and corporate financial requirements. This includes closing the financial statements, completing necessary journal entries, performing appropriate analysis and preparing schedules that support monthly packages. Assist in the completion of monthly performance reporting, reconciliations, and associated metrics.

  • Ensure that financial statements accurately represent the financial performance. Work with management on completion of the required data and prepare supporting documents. Prepare supporting documents for quarterly tax audit packages and yearly business audit packages.
  • Manage all inter-company receivable accounts and transaction records.
  • Work with the Corporate Asset Team to track Construction in Progress (CIP) and Fixed Assets.
  • May be involved with Sales and Use tax process.
  • Be financial liaison for General ledger maintenance.
  • Accounts Receivable-Partial
  • Apply cash
  • Contact customer regarding payment status via phone, email
  • Process credit card payments
  • Manage customer validation process, check credit limits, hold orders, release orders and run D&B reports
  • Maintain sales tax
  • Ensure proper level of approval for issuing credits
  • Perform customer setups and changes
  • Cross train to ensure efficient collections during team member absences
  • Document payment status or issues notes
  • Investigate short payments due to pricing, quantities, tax and freight
  • Supply credit references to customer upon request



You Have:
  • B.A Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance
  • CPA ideal, but not required
  • 3 + years experience in financial data analysis
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong teamwork.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Knowledge and use of Epicor or SAP financial system helpful, but not required
  • Operational distribution experience ideal but not required.
