Machine Operator I

Our Plymouth, MA location is seeking a hire someone for our Machine Operator I position. The selected individual will be trained to be responsible for Set up, operation and maintenance of a variety of large-scale manufacturing automatic or semi-automatic machinery.

This position is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start or grow their career in Manufacturing Technology and or Industrial Machinery. The selected candidate will be working with machinery that can stretch as long as 60 feet long and employ a total of 3 working Machine operators each performing different tasks at the same time on the same machine. The machines in combination with the Machine Operators may complete as many as 12 different tasks to result in a finish product. These machines also include robotic assembly equipment used in the production of the company's product.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Machinery Set up, operation and maintenance responsibilities for a Machine Operator level I will include, but will not be limited to the following:
    • Programming machine with predetermined requirements / tolerances via written/verbal instruction provided by supervisor.
    • Loading/unloading machine with either required material or finished product
    • Unjamming machine
    • Assisting other more experienced operators to complete more in-depth repairs.
    • Learning to do more with guidance and supervision.

  • Ability to lift and transport up to 20 pounds on a regular basis

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must be able to look at an electronic display and understand how to follow directions to get to a location within our facility to be able move products within the facility.
  • Hours/Schedule: M-F/6am-2:30pm or its 8am - 4:30pm
  • Must be comfortable working within an environment that takes pride in hiring a culturally diverse group of associates who speak various languages.
  • Good Attendance and Punctuality is a must for success with us.
  • Individuals who naturally possess a good attention to detail and who can adhere to Quality standards are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be comfortable working closely with others both in teams and independently.
  • Must be a Self-Starter, not just standing around waiting for work. Individuals who naturally, actively look to find ways to help and move processes along without having to be asked to do so, will find long term success here with us and are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to use a Computer and Mouse is required throughout the facility to perform is preferred.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Overtime is available but not required
  • Individuals who are eager to work Overtime are encouraged to apply
  • Flexible weekend hours available for OT i.e., just work 4hrs, 6hrs, etc.
  • Will be working in a Temperature Controlled environment
  • Individuals who are interested in learning our entire business and being cross trained in as many positions as possible are preferred and encouraged to apply
