Job Description

Interstate Power Systems is looking for an experienced General Sales Manager for our Carrier Transicold division that will be overseeing Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, and Montana locations.

Carrier Transicold is a global leader in transport refrigeration solutions, providing innovative products and services to the temperature-controlled transportation industry. The general sales manager will be responsible for leading and managing sales activities within a designated region, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong customer relationships.

General Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Lead a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Provide product training and support to the sales team.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Team Development: Train, and mentor sales team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.

General Sales Manager Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have previous Carrier Refrigeration Sales Management knowledge within the transportation industry.
  • Proven at building and leading a sales team.
  • Sales management experience in the Refrigeration industry, On-Highway Truck and Trailer industry or similar industry required.
  • 3+ years recent/relevant sales team building
  • Confidently present to senior level executives, including fleet owners, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven experience successfully capturing business deals and contracts.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
  • Effectively communicate complex information to a diverse audience.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen and expertise in setting and achieving measurable financial targets.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis.
