Maintenance Supervisor


We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who will report to the Site Director, and who'll be tasked with coordinating all the installation, maintenance, and repair work for the facility. As part of your role, you'll be expected to supervise, motive, and delegate to maintenance workers.


YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:


  • Supervise maintenance employees to cover requests and overall production

  • Manage calls and requests through prioritization and scheduling

  • Complete paperwork and update requisite systems: attendance, e-mail, internal project work orders, maintenance requisition forms, floor documentation (manuals), preventative maintenance, 5S Implementation, outside services/support, and purchasing

  • Oversee shifts, labor, and hours to keep employees accountable

  • Create and manage maintenance back-log jobs and maintain the list accurately

  • Address all other unplanned requests and projects

  • Manage internal project work order process

  • Manage and approve the inventory spare parts request from maintenance technicians

  • Effectively address the preventative maintenance task list and schedule

  • Organize and maintain maintenance floor and shop to 5S Implementation Level

  • Manage personnel issues: job, internal conflicts, pay, morale

  • Manage attendance/attendance issues: overtime scheduling, time-off requests

  • Oversee the library documentation on the production floor to all equipment

  • Apply and support safety rules

  • Review shift-to-shift turnover


YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:


Required:


  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related field or relevant experience

  • Experience in lean manufacturing, six sigma, or other similar environments

  • 5+ years progressive maintenance-related experience within a manufacturing environment

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in supervising a team


Preferred:


  • Technical writing, documentation, and record-keeping skills

  • Ability to analyze and problem solve

  • Electric and mechanical technical experience

  • Ability to contribute to a cross-functional collaborative environment

  • Lead by example and motivate people to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment

  • Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends

  • Working knowledge and understanding of TPM and work order systems and their use in a manufacturing environment

  • Identify tools, processes, and metrics to optimize value

  • Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft
