HDR is seeking a Senior EV Planner for zero emissions infrastructure planning and fleet transition projects. The desired candidate will lead the planning efforts for state, federal, MPO, county, and municipal projects, including general planning, technical evaluation, stakeholder engagement, procurement strategies, infrastructure planning, and fleet deployment for zero-emission vehicles and infrastructure programs for clients throughout the world. The candidate will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle with a focus on delivering high quality technical planning documents to help our clients prepare for vehicle electrification.

The preferred candidate will proactively manage planning tasks, budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and client communications in support of the project's objectives, and will provide technical leadership and support for the project team.

This role is for a candidate that seeks the challenges of working within multi-disciplinary groups to address complex problems in this emerging market. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire for problem solving, be willing to navigate a diversity of project types with the willingness to actively lead.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of EV Mobility Planner, II we'll count on you to:

* Leading the task team and guiding the client through infrastructure feasibility and transition challenges,

* Leveraging both technical and general planning experience and expertise,

* Providing leadership, ownership and expertise to the team and the client,

* High attention to detail and prioritize the details that truly matter to the project,

* High level of versatility and enjoys new challenges.

* The ability to travel periodically to client jurisdictions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning or closely related field
  • A minimum pf 5 years experience with transportation planning and design
  • MS Office, CAD, ArcInfo/ArcView
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

  • AICP
