WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Join a passionate new product development team that is focused on innovation and development within our extensive HOFFMAN cooling product line!
  • Work with multi-functional teams to help launch products by taking market specifications through stage-gate processes from concept to development to deployment.
  • Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, and quality personnel to launch new air conditioning, chiller, heat exchanger, and filter fan products.
  • Perform research and development of vapor-compression technology systems.
  • Perform calculations, analyses, and simulations to validate designs, specifications, and predict product performance using Engineering Equation Solver (EES), VapCyc and CoilDesigner or similar tools
  • Plan and direct test activities to qualify and validate products to internal, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early-career engineers.
  • Specify purchased part requirements and work with supply leaders to source parts for use in designs.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with academic and industry partners.

YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or higher in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in HVACR industry.
  • Experience with vapor-compression system design and component selection.
  • Experience with refrigeration system modeling, simulation, and testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
