This position is eligible for a $6,000 retention bonus ($2,500 paid after 6 months of service with the remainder paid after 12 months of service)

Salary Range

Clinical Trainee Base Salary: $58,256.71 - 67,455.14

Therapist - Fully Licensed Base Salary: $66,752.48 - $77,292.35

The expected compensation range for this position represents a good faith estimate for this position and the specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, experience, and/or FTE.

Position Summary

This position provides clinical services to those children and families who are considered to be at risk in a school setting. These positions have the option for reduced time in the summer. This position requires services to be delivered on-site at home, school or in the community. It emphasizes a high level of skill and knowledge about families, individuals and family assessment, family skills, and education services in the school. The position provides diagnostic assessments and therapy services to eligible students and their families. It also provides consultation/teaming with school psychologists, school social workers, teachers, and multiple mental health providers. This position provides case consultation, training on mental health issues and assistance to school personnel for clients in the Therapeutic Assistance Program.

Little Cananda: Eastview Academy Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Mahtomedi: Mahtomedi Academy Tuesdays and Thursdays

Minimum Qualifications

Licensed Mental Health Professional

• Possess a master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Clinical Counseling
• Possess a current and valid Minnesota State Licensure from The Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (e.g. LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC)

• Current and valid driver's license and automobile insurance. This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require frequent use for traveling between office and clients.

Clinical Trainee

• Possess a master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Clinical Counseling

• Currently pursuing a LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC Minnesota State Licensure from The Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (e.g. LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC)

• Extensive knowledge and experience working with severe emotional disorders in children and adults, family systems theory, individual and family development and community resources and school systems.
• Current and valid driver's license and automobile insurance. This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation and may require frequent use for traveling between office and clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to plan and implement treatment strategies for children with SED
• Experience with students and families of color, understanding of the impact of race and poverty upon students and families.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records

Licensure Supervision is provided.
