Job Summary

Responsible for helping grow the Architectural Service department's revenue stream in the Twin Cities business region; coordinate inspections, assist with project proposals and analysis, provide strategic plan support, develop, and maintain customer relationships and developing contacts. Responsible for day-to-day oversight of team, communication, compliance, and training. Ensure correct job site set-up, crew power to align with job expectations and ensuring proper safety protocols in the field. Must maintain a solid understanding of project work, inspections, schedules and communicate effectively with internal and external customers to meet job-related goals and deadlines. Regular review and alignment with financial expectations and strategic plan items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day support for overall operation and processes of the regional team in Twin Cities, including technical expertise and oversight for Technicians. Responsible for communicating, leading, coaching, supporting and motivating the team.
  • Allocation of field technician crews, provide QA/QC support, and invoicing for service jobs in a timely manner. Review and approve timecards related to project work hours.
  • Ensure project teams are effectively trained and comply with Standard Operating Procedures and safety standards. Regularly and continually promote safety and a safe work environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect all styles of roofs and other projects for potential replacement; schedule appointments, meet with clients, document inspection results.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates by working with the Project Manager and estimating team to complete take-offs and other pre-job planning requirements.
  • Supports the Architectural team as required; includes project oversight, project analysis, compliance, and document control. Will coordinate and attend meetings as required.
  • Maintain current customer relationships, develop new ones and coordinate with architectural team management on leads. Provide customers with timely follow-up on all service orders.
  • Develop and maintain professional inter-department relationships and intercompany relationships.
  • Work with Department Manager to set yearly financial goals and budgets. Set strategic goals and business plan to achieve and maintain or improve upon budgeted EBITA.
  • Create, monitor, and report financial budgets and performance for your group.
  • Review monthly and yearly service financial statements with Manager and report differences between forecast and actual results.
  • Support and manage the strategic plan items and business planning initiatives for the TC area. Create a sustainable competitive advantage, focus on goals and results, and create a purpose-centered organization capable of achieving established milestones.
  • Represent the company at external and internal events, industry meetings and conferences, and other business-related gatherings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management with at least three years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successful management, including development of high-performance teams.
  • Professional knowledge of commercial and industrial construction equipment and techniques, drawings, specifications, component materials and required standards applicable to discipline.
  • Well-developed organizational and time management skills; ability to schedule/coordinate projects to meet expressed deadlines.
  • Must have proficient computer/ typing skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and ability to work flexible schedules, including travel regionally for project specific work.

  • Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling, climbing, lifting, reaching, and grasping.
  • Ability to stand and walk, lift, and carry items weighing 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to climb and carry a ladder.
  • The environmental conditions for this position include climate controlled indoor activity to inclement outdoor extremes of cold, heat, dust, wind, and various forms of precipitation. Exposure to a variety of noise and equipment vibration.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a plant environment. PPE required when in the plant, yard or construction areas include:
    • Hard Hat
    • Safety Glasses / Goggles
    • Steel-toed Boots
    • High Visibility Vest
    • Hearing Protection (designated areas)
    • Gloves
    • Personal Fall Arrest Harness
