Job Description

ECFE Teacher - Parent Educator
(for parents of PreK to Grade 3 aged students)

Full Time 190 days/year; 8 hours/day (All staff are required to work at least one evening per week) - 2024-25 school year

Duties: Prepare and conduct ECFE classes and workshops for parents of PreK to Grade 3 aged students, with the primary focus on Early Childhood to Kindergarten transition. Provide parenting education resources as needed. Work collaboratively with elementary school staff, including social worker, teachers, administration, etc. Maintain records and participate in staff meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Current MN Teaching License in Parent Education and BA degree. Ability to work with parents and children, age birth to eight, one on one or in groups; knowledge of family systems, adults and child development; group facilitator skills; strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/on site.

Rate of pay: $33.44/hour and up, DOQ.

Start Date: 8/29/24. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days (after: 4/23/24) by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission) after a 15-day posting period.
