The primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Support the vision and quality standards for Disability Residential Services (DRS): Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL), Personal Support Services (PSS), which includes, but is not limited to: Specialized Community Supports, Unit-Based Services, Host Homes, and the Altair ACO
  • Support PSS to meet CQL accreditation standards
  • Support the implementation of best practice quality standards that lead to exceptional service to people supported
  • Provide coaching, engagement, and training initiatives to teams on required best practices and compliance initiatives
  • Manage and maintain quality databases to monitor and track line of service quality and compliance practices
Job Requirements:
  • A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
  • An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
  • A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
  • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
  • Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications of a designated manager.
  • 2 years of experience in training, supervisory or managerial capacity is required
  • Experience training groups of people
  • Training in supervisory skills, team building, and leadership skills
  • Inter-rated interviewer with CQL or internally (required to obtain after hire)
  • Ability to observe, listen and respond with dignity and respect
  • Comfortable speaking in large groups
  • Ability to accept/follow through with the direction
  • Elevated computer skills
  • The creative team member who can suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service
  • Ability to exhibit patience, self-control, flexibility, and to recognize boundaries
  • A driver's license is required
  • Reliable and insured personal vehicle required
  • Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) clearance is required
  • Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required

The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers' license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
