What we need:
This position is a key member of the Healthcare & People Solutions division finance team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role is responsible for providing meaningful financial analysis and insight to drive decision making in support of the goals, initiatives and strategy of the business. The role will collaborate closely with the Finance Director to ensure efficient and accurate financial analysis and budgeting operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheet and income statements) prepared in accordance with US-GAAP.
  • Prepare, record, and review monthly journal entries in conjunction with the India shared services team to ensure they are proper, accurate and adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly reports of actual results, forecasts, operating plans and bridge results from expectations in accordance with corporate format and time requirements.
  • Be a strategic business partner for the HPS business unit.
  • Provide support as needed for the Healthcare & People Solutions leadership team. This includes preparing executive presentations to convey both financial and organizational results of the business. Become a key member in tracking Key Performance Indicators and the associated financial and organizational objectives.
  • Adhere to the Brady accounting policies in accordance with US-GAAP.
  • Establish and maintain proper accounting controls, and safeguarding of assets. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements.
  • Responsible for inventory valuation, explaining variances in inventory volumes as well as maintaining proper reserves for excess and obsolete. Proactively identify issues as it relates to these areas in order for management to take proactive measures to avoid.
  • Responsible for analyzing profitability by product line, by customer, etc.
  • Support maintaining and calculating the monthly & quarterly commission plans for the sales team.
  • Continually look for process improvement and efficiencies within the finance accounting functions in order to provide higher levels of service to the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Public accounting experience or experience in a complex multi-site, multinational business.
  • Minimum of 2 years of finance or accounting experience with strong analytical skills and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and high level of energy and drive, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks.
  • The ability to challenge the status quo and operate with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Is dedicated to exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Experience in managing multiple internal customers and points of contact.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools (OneStream, etc.) and integrated ERP systems (SAP, etc.)
  • Firm understanding of financial concepts and the ability to apply concepts in business situations.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Travel as necessary for projects, meetings, business reviews, etc.
