Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN is hiring a Benefits Analyst in Eagan, MN. This position supports the benefits team in a broad array of health, wellness, leave of absence and financial benefit programs. Provides support to our associates as it relates to overall benefit questions while ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
This role is a hybrid role and requires 2 days in office per week in Eagan, MN.
A Day in the Life:
Supports the benefits team with health, wellness, and financial benefit plan projects.
Supports the administration of leave of absence (STD, LTD, other), workers compensation, life insurance, 401k, and cash balance plans.
Provides advanced associate support on benefit questions in medical, dental, vision, wellness, COBRA, and retiree plans.
Supports end to end leave administration process and third-party vendor management, including internal communications and updates with associates and managers.
Has working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, etc.
Provides training and support to HR Service Center staff to ensure staff can respond to employee questions and is able to administer benefit programs per plan documents and government regulations.
Prepares reports for management regarding cost effectiveness and competitiveness of leave of absence and benefit programs.
Develops and implements comprehensive associate communication tools to enhance understanding of the companies benefits programs and help associates take action.
Has project management capabilities and provides direct support and partnership to our associates, vendors, managers, and HR colleagues.
Required Skills and Experiences:
3+ years of related HR/Benefits professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates. Previous experience as a benefits and/or leave of absence administrator.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit and wellness programs.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop accurate and appropriate communications.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of Benefits experience with a focus in Health Plans.
Experience managing Benefit related projects.
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation or Certified Benefits Profession (CBP)
