Diversity Center Student Assistant
Position Overview: The Chatman Diversity Center (CDC) Student Assistant aids the Director and Program Assistant of the Chatman Diversity Center in the planning and implementation of programming. The duties performed assist with the process of fostering an appreciation for the diverse cultures encompassed in God's creation, building community, promoting student learning, and actualizing the mission and vision of Concordia University, Saint Paul.
Essential Duties:
  • Assist CDC team in the development and creation of promotional materials that welcome the CSP community such as flyers, posters, brochures, orientation materials, and etc.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update website materials
  • Attend trainings as assigned with the Marketing Department
  • Prepare, maintain, and update website materials
  • Assist with set-up, execution, and breakdown of assigned CDC events
  • Attend weekly CDC Team meeting
  • Take pictures at assigned CDC functions to upload onto social media platforms
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Be able to consistently communicate, listen to and interact with students, staff, and faculty from all backgrounds
  • Be able to work in an environment with high traffic of student interactions and involvement
  • Desire to work in a diverse, steady-paced, and multicultural environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of current office tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, Email, and etc.)
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, CSP Website, and etc.)
