Position Summary | This position will serve as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology. The Associate Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the execution of clinical research protocols, including leading efforts in gathering, compiling, and reporting data for a variety of research studies. The Research Associate will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), study physicians, nurses, and other research personnel. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, including the potential to co-author publications and present findings at national conferences. This role requires the candidate to be on-site and actively engaged in the Eastowne Medical Office Building. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | This position requires excellent people skills, as the applicant will be primarily involved in participant recruitment, obtaining informed consent, and administering questionnaires. Additional duties include performing qualitative interviews, research sample collection, data entry, and medical records review. The Associate will gain invaluable experience and develop skills in various aspects of clinical research within a dynamic clinical setting. Must be able to use considerable judgement and skills in performing work assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and Zoom. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Preference will be given to candidates with a strong interest in medicine, biology, or endocrinology. Candidates who have some experience with type 1 diabetes are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with REDCap is also preferred. |
